NYC Parks & Recreation has a great opportunity in Forestry for Climbers & Pruners. Be a part of making a greener, greater NYC. By 2017, we plan to plant an estimated 220,000 trees.
Responsibilities:
Prune & remove trees when necessary. Compost, chip, recycle debris and operate equipment. Identify trees by species and inspect for the ALB & other pests & diseases.
Qualifications:
6 months of recent Full Time experience as a climber & pruner required. Must be able to climb a tree using a rope & saddle. Driver license valid in NYS required. Within 1st year of employment must have a CDL class B.
